Did you know that you can recover the VAT amount on the purchase of your new or used mobile home? This is indeed possible by opting for LMNP* status (Non-Professional Furnished Rental). In the end, you make significant savings. Here is what you need to know.
By opting for LMNP status, the law allows you to recover the 20% VAT amount on the purchase of your property, subject to conditions*.
You can then hit two birds with one stone: on one hand, you receive attractive rental income and, on the other, you make a great saving on the total cost of your investment. This is because it is also possible to recover the corresponding VAT amount on the equipment, decorative accessories, and comfort features of your mobile home at a rate of 20%.
What’s more, you have the possibility to recover the VAT on the amount of your pitch rental, which is 10%.
Whether it is a new or used mobile home, the savings you can make amount to several thousand euros.

LMNP status, an advantageous regime
LMNP status (Non-Professional Furnished Rental) is a tax regime. It gives all taxpayers the opportunity to invest in a furnished property with a view to renting it out while benefiting from an attractive mechanism.
This status allows you to rent out your mobile home while enjoying significant advantages:
- Recovery of VAT on your purchase amount*
- Not generating additional tax on your rental income*.
To benefit from LMNP status, there are only a few simple but important steps. We can support you through the process.
Good to know: you have 15 days following the signing of the rental contract to complete your registration request.
Once these steps are completed, you benefit from the advantages of LMNP status:
- The possibility of receiving up to €23,000 in rental income per year
- Recovery of the VAT amount on the purchase (20%)
- Recovery of the VAT amount on your pitch rental (10%)
- Deduction of the interest on the loan used to acquire your mobile home from your declared rental income (subject to having opted for the actual tax regime)
When making your annual income tax return, simply report the total amount of your rental income using form no. 2042-C-PRO.
